Britney Spears Taken by Ambulance to ‘Get Help’

It's being reported that Britney Spears was taken from her home early on Thursday and taken to a hospital by ambulance (followed by a dozen police officers and two helicopters). A police officer reportedly said she was being taken to UCLA Medical Center to "get help" and to be placed on a "mental evaluation hold."
Rumor has it that Britney's mother, Lynn, is in town and was on the scene. Naturally, rumors are also flying that this was a suicide attempt. There has been no additional information released to confirm that.
