Environmental problems of the world we live in has determined the replacement of glass with other recyclable materials. Most important is the replacement of glass bottles with plastic animals, have the advantage of being much lighter, easier to manufacture and recycling, not counting the costs of plastic are infinitely inferior to the glass. So gradually the use of Glass bottles has entered a downward path, and yet can not be removed from the storage process or the packaging of many kinds of goods. Yes, Coca-Cola or Pepsi can be bottled in pets, milk can be sold in cartons and beer cans, but a good claret never be stored in plastic.
The advantage of glass bottles in plastic is the material quality. Despite the long tradition using the glass has the purity of structure that makes interaction with the stored liquid impossible. Plastic, on the other hand is known for editing the properties a few beverages, due to chemical reactions that occur in the time between the artificial structure and the possible acids in the drink. The whiskey, wine, vodka or any other alcoholic beverages, not better preserved in glass than any other type of container.
Glass bottles also have the great advantage of preserving a certain temperature for a long period of time. It expands when it gets too hot or decreases when exposed to lower temperatures. Depending on the type of beverage they store, glass bottles can be thicker or thinner. Large international companies that are considered brand names, usually have customized, possibly etched glass bottles. It is usually the case with whiskey brands like Jack Daniel's, Jim Bean, professor and so on. These glass bottles are usually thicker like those used to store wine, wine manufacturers mainly choose thin models apparently suggest that refinement of taste.
Recycling glass bottles is required by law and separation of waste glass in the home is essential to the process. The glass bottles did not alter the structure of environment by its chemical composition, the only problem is that they remain in the same form for millions of years, there is actually no change in its structure. The need for recycling comes from the fact that a large amount of glass bottles are produced and deposits of waste per year, which only leads to enormous pressure on the environment.
