During his appearance in court, Redmond O'Neal told the judge that his ailing mother Farrah Fawcett is down to just 86 pounds.

O'Neal, 24, made the announcement when he asked for leniency in sentencing for a violation of his parole stemming from drug charges.

He told the judge, "I want to be there for my mom. My mom only weighs 86 pounds right now and I'm sorry your honor."

Doctors say the weight loss could indicate further spread of the cancer or could be the result and side effect of chemotherapy treatments the Charlie’s Angels actress is undergoing.

Reports indicate the cancer has spread to Farrah’s liver.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Farrah and her family as they endure this truly horrible and difficult time.

The latest on Farrah Fawcett…

Washington, April 6 (ANI): Farrah Fawcett, the actress who has been battling cancer for almost three years, has reportedly been admitted to a Los Angeles hospital.

According to sources, the 62-year-old former star of Charlie’s Angels is critical but stable. They also say she is unconscious and has been hospitalized for days, reports RadarOnline.com.

Long-time love Ryan ONeal has been by Farrahs bedside, as has troubled son Redmond, who bolted from rehab earlier this week.

Fawcett was diagnosed with anal cancer in September 2006.

After four months, she declared herself cancer-free, only to have the disease return in May 2007.

She travelled to Germany for alternative treatment and documented her experiences, footage of which she shared with entertainment television shows in early 2008.

What a terrible tragedy. Farrah is truly one of the most widely recognized beauty icons of our time.

I think every boy in my generation had their walls plastered with Farrah and most likely developed certain, umm habits, with the mental image of her.

Not that she’d want to be known for that – but that’s the truth.
